Toronto Raptors head coach Dwane Casey didn't mince words after watching his team get blown out by 38 points in Wednesday night's Game 5 matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

"They kicked our butts," Casey told reporters following the defeat.

While the Raptors looked outmatched all game, they fared particularly badly over the opening two quarters, taking a 31-point deficit into the second half.

"I don't know if we were ready for the train that was about to come down the tracks on us tonight," Casey added. "We had an opportunity to come in here and do something special and we didn't get it done."

Despite the poor results, Casey remains optimistic about the Raptors' chances, especially after seeing Toronto bounce back several times this postseason.

"It's 3-2. We've won 2, they've won 3," Casey said.

The Raptors have to tie the series again on Friday night at the Air Canada Centre to avoid elimination.
