With reports surfacing linking him with potential moves to Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain, Cristiano Ronaldo has conceded that he is happy to stay with Real Madrid.

"It's obvious I want to stay I here. I think I am going to retire at Real Madrid," Ronaldo told La Sexta's "Jugones" show.

For the second time in as many days, Los Blancos supporters can breathe a sigh of relief concerning doubts about the club legend, after Ronaldo was cleared to play in this weekend's Champions League final after suffering a thigh ailment in training Tuesday.

Ronaldo continued, offering some specifics, saying, "Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City can forget it, I'm retiring at Real Madrid.

"I have had good and bad moments, four years ago I was not happy but there is no better place to be than here."

Real's all-time leading scorer is under contract at the Santiago Bernabeu through the summer of 2018, and appears content to extend the deal beyond that term.

"Renewal after the Champions League final? Let's see. Real Madrid would be smart if they extend my contract. I am happy at Real Madrid. I can see no club better than this one."

Opting to put his future on the backburner ahead of Saturday's Champions League final, Ronaldo is looking to smash his own record for goals in the tournament, having scored 16 heading into the final against rival Atletico Madrid at Milan's San Siro. The 125-time capped international is also the competition's all-time leading goalscorer, with 96 tallies - 13 more than Lionel Messi.
