UFC president Dana White and executive Lorenzo Fertitta are expected to meet with Conor McGregor Wednesday in Los Angeles to negotiate the star's next fight.

Questions have swirled non-stop around the featherweight champion ever since he was removed from his UFC 200 main event rematch with Nate Diaz for not fulfilling his promotional responsibilities.

White told ESPN's SportsCenter that he expects to have answers after the parties have dinner Wednesday evening. All he could say for sure is that nothing has changed in regards to McGregor and UFC 200, and that they're ready to work toward McGregor fighting again soon.

"He will not be on UFC 200," White said, according to MMAjunkie. "Not at all. That ship sailed. But we've put that behind us, and we're in a good place with Conor, and we're looking to make his next fight. We should have that done tonight."

McGregor was submitted by Diaz in March, and a rematch between the two remains a distinct possibility, especially with Diaz having no interest in fighting anyone else.

A featherweight title defense could also be in the cards for McGregor after UFC 200, where Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar will compete for an interim championship.
