Blue Jays' Gibbons ejected for 2nd straight game
Toronto Blue Jays manager John Gibbons has been ejected for a second straight game after arguing balls and strikes from the dugout.
Gibbons' ejection occurred during the fourth inning of Monday's game against the Rays after a called third strike on Troy Tulowitzki, and comes roughly 24 hours after he was tossed by home plate umpire Dan Iassogna for complaining about his strike zone during the Blue Jays' series finale against Texas.
Gibbons later returned to the field during the explosive brawl between the Blue Jays and Rangers that led to six ejections and is expected to result in several suspensions. On Monday, Gibbons questioned why Texas waited until the final game of the series to seek retaliation.
''If something irritates you that bad and something is going to happen, the only way to do is to take care of it right away,'' Gibbons said.
The Rays were leading 11-0 at the time of Gibbons' ejection on Monday.
