Eric Decker, Braylon Edwards among participants in NFL broadcast boot camp
The NFL will host its 10th annual broadcast boot camp starting Monday for current and former players interested in pursuing careers in media.
Twenty-five players will participate in the symposium at NFL Films headquarters in New Jersey, including six past graduates who will take an advanced program.
The students include current NFL players Eric Decker, Rashad Johnson, Mike Pouncey, Marcel Reese, and Geoff Schwartz. Unsigned free agents James Ihedigbo and Emmanuel Acho will also take part, along with ex-player Braylon Edwards.
Decker's already gained some television notoriety by appearing on a reality show with his wife, country music singer Jessie James, called "Eric & Jessie: Game On."
The media boot camp is designed to help NFL players, generally without a high profile, transition into a post-football career. The league says it's helped over 200 alumni earn broadcasting jobs.
