Analysis:

This is the best since 1958-59 when Antonio Valentin Angelillo of Inter Milan scored 33 goals in a season. Angelillo's mark was with a 18-team league schedule. Serie A currently has 20 teams. Gunnar Nordahl of AC Milan scored 35 goals in 37 appearances in 1949-50.
