Greg Hardy says he's undergoing counseling
Free-agent defensive lineman Greg Hardy has informed teams through his agent that he is undergoing counseling to treat any disorders that may have contributed to past misbehavior both on and off the field, a source told Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio.
Detailed information about Hardy's steps to improve himself, including being evaluated and treated by several NFL physicians for personality and mood disorders, among other disorders, was reportedly sent to all 32 teams by Hardy's agent, Drew Rosenhaus.
Hardy was suspended for the first four games of the 2016 season and missed all but one game the previous year because of his involvement in an incident of alleged domestic violence.
Hardy was convicted of assaulting his ex-girlfriend and sentenced to probation, but the charges were later dropped after the victim failed to testify.
Hardy, 27, has received no known interest from NFL teams this offseason.
