Casey says he's sleeping like a baby: 'Waking up and crying'

The Toronto Raptors let a golden opportunity to take a 3-1 series lead over the Miami Heat slip away on Monday night, and Raptors head coach Dwane Casey - whose decisions contributed in no small part to the overtime loss - is still reliving the nightmare.

A tense, competitive, and largely unsightly series that's now reduced to a best-of-three after three of the first four games were decided in overtime has taken its toll on the 59-year-old bench boss.

"I'm sleeping like a baby," Casey told reporters on Tuesday, his tongue resting firmly in his cheek. "Waking up and crying."

The Raptors and Heat have both played strong, disciplined defense in the series, but the offensive execution has also been putrid both ways. Either team can reasonably feel like it should've won all four games.

Monday night's result was a particularly painful one for the Raptors, who led by seven with just over four minutes left in regulation, but managed just eight points the rest of the way and crumbled amidst a hail of senseless turnovers and contested mid-range jumpers.

Still, for as poorly as they've played, the Raptors have a chance to take control of the series again when they play Game 5 on their home court Wednesday.

Casey likely isn't holding out much hope for his REM cycles.
