Swansea's Eder wants Lille stay beyond loan spell

Swansea City striker Eder does not want to prolong his nightmare in South Wales, preferring to stay in France with Lille.

The Portuguese joined last summer from Sporting Braga in a £5-million deal, made 13 Premier League appearances without troubling the scoresheet, then left on loan to Ligue 1 in February. He has made a much better account of himself in French Flanders, bagging five goals in 10 top-flight starts.

"I would love to stay in Lille next season, and I would love to be a part of this exciting project. But it is not decided yet," Eder told goal.com, according to the South Wales Evening Post's Gareth Vincent.

"I'm happy here. I have been playing some of the very best football in my career with LOSC. I got a great opportunity here, and I have the trust of coach Frederic Antonetti. Each day I work hard to repay him for that."

Swansea may attempt to strengthen its strike force this summer after Andre Ayew and Bafetimbi Gomis struggled to live up to their early season form.
