Barnes not taking Warriors' reported pursuit of Durant personally

Everything is good in the Bay, but changes might be on the horizon.

If the Golden State Warriors follow through with their reported pursuit of Kevin Durant in free agency, that would almost assuredly mean the end of Harrison Barnes' time in the Bay.

The talk might be distracting to some, but it isn't getting to Barnes. He understands it's all part of the business, as he told Tim Kawakami of the San Jose Mercury News.

"You always kind of take it with a grain of salt. We're a great team. And this is a place where people want to play now. Front office is going to do their job, and they're going to go and try to recruit the best talent.

"You don't really get too personal about it, or say oh my gosh, they're looking at other players. Because that's how business goes."

It's not like trade talk is foreign to Barnes. The fourth-year swingman's name was brought up in trade talks involving Kevin Love and perhaps Dwight Howard in previous summers.

"It was after my first year, was that when Dwight was thinking about leaving? So it was funny, (Andrew) Bogut texted me and asked me, are we going to L.A.? Because he was going to come here. We joked about that.

"And last summer it was (the) Kevin Love thing, is he going to come here? So me and David Lee were joking about the fact that we might have to buy winter coats," Barnes said.
