Manziel appears in court, ordered not to contact ex-girlfriend
Johnny Manziel appeared in a Dallas courtroom Thursday where he was ordered by a judge not to contact ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley or possess any firearms, according to multiple reports.
The hearing took about five minutes and occurred a day after Manziel posted bond in his domestic violence case. The former Cleveland Browns quarterback is facing a misdemeanor charge connected to an incident in which he is alleged to have assaulted and threatened to kill Crowley.
Manziel assured the judge Thursday that he does not possess any firearms.
As for avoiding contact with Crowley while he is free on bond, the judge told Manziel that's "on you."

Crowley was granted a protective order in February that requires Manziel to stay at least 500 feet away from her home and work and forbids him from seeing her for two years.
If convicted of misdemeanor assault, Manziel faces up to a year behind bars. A status hearing is set for June 24.
