The Buffalo Bills haven't forgotten about the trio of key players in need of contract extensions.

Speaking on WGR Sportradio 550 on Monday, general manager Doug Whaley explained that the team will soon reopen talks with the representatives for cornerback Stephon Gilmore, left tackle Cordy Glenn, and quarterback Tyrod Taylor.

"Negotiations took a hiatus for draft weekend," Whaley said, according to the team's official website. "We'll regroup this week and set a game plan through to the minicamp. I'll sit down with Jim Overdorf and reach out and see if we can just keep the lines of communication open."

Whaley also insisted that reaching an extension for each player is equally important. And while the club has been working under some financial restrictions this offseason, he's "supremely confident" that all three can fit under the salary cap for 2017 and beyond.

Gilmore, a first-round pick in 2012, is heading into the fifth and final year of his initial rookie deal. Taylor is also entering a contract year, as the third season of his three-year deal was voided when he played more than 50 percent of snaps upon joining the Bills in 2015.

Buffalo used the franchise tag to keep Glenn from hitting the open market earlier this offseason, and the club now has until July 15th to negotiate a long-term deal that would replace the one-year tender.
