McGregor: UFC 200's numbers would've eclipsed Mayweather-Pacquiao

Conor McGregor believes UFC 200 would have been a record-setting event had his rematch with Nate Diaz remained on the card.

Answering questions on Twitter on Monday, McGregor revealed he was aiming to beat the PPV numbers record set by the superfight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao in 2015:

The Mayweather-Pacquiao bout brought in 4.4 million buys. While McGregor is arguably the biggest draw in the UFC right now, the most successful event of his career is UFC 196, which brought in 1.5 million buys for his loss to Nate Diaz.

Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier's light heavyweight title bout replaced the McGregor-Diaz rematch as the headliner for UFC 200 on July 9 in Las Vegas.
