The Minnesota Vikings have exercised the fifth-year options on the contracts of cornerback Xavier Rhodes and defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd, the team announced Monday.
Both Rhodes and Floyd have emerged as key defensive contributors in the three seasons since joining the Vikings as first-round picks in 2013.
Rhodes started in 38 games over that stretch - including each game over the past two seasons - while racking up two interceptions and 39 passes defensed.
Though injuries have limited Floyd's presence in the Vikings' lineup since earning a starting role in 2014, he's been a productive interior presence when on the field.
Rhodes and Floyd will now be under contract through the 2017 season.
