Miami Dolphins first-round selection Laremy Tunsil unexpectedly participated in his introductory press conference Friday after the team originally announced he'd miss the event due to suffering an unspecified allergic reaction.

Tunsil was attended to by team doctors, however, and the former Ole Miss standout made a delayed appearance.

"I don't know what happened. I just had an allergic reaction," Tunsil told reporters.

Tunsil's professional career is off to a curious start after a video surfaced of him taking a bong hit in a gas mask minutes before the first round of the draft started Thursday.

Although Tunsil was originally responsive to questions Friday, the 21-year-old became less forthcoming, repeatedly only answering inquiries with "I'm just here to talk about the Miami Dolphins." The Dolphins ended the press conference quickly.

Tunsil did say Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill texted him yesterday to provide support.
