Thirty-one picks were announced Thursday, 31 players found new homes, and not one of them is named Myles Jack.

The ultra-athletic UCLA linebacker was once widely projected to be a top-five selection, but following a meniscus tear that ended his college career, his stock dropped all the way out of the first round.

Falling down the draft board didn't come as a surprise to Jack, who admitted to the New York Post on Wednesday that he'll likely need microfracture surgery in the future and will understand if he plummets in the draft as a result.

While Jack didn't hear his name called Thursday, his availability adds some intrigue to Friday's second round. He's undoubtedly a top-10 talent in this draft, but the injury concerns have been too much for teams to overlook thus far.

Surprise teams who passed

New York Jets: The Jets held the 20th pick, which still would've seemed like extreme value for a player of Jack's talent. They opted for Ohio State linebacker Darron Lee instead.

Pittsburgh Steelers: With the high-speed defense the Steelers are currently building, Jack would've been a great addition to the NFC North club. They followed the speed narrative by taking the electric Artie Burns from Miami at the 25th slot.

Green Bay Packers: The Packers had UCLA on the mind, but instead drafted Jack's teammate Kenny Clark to fill their hole at defensive tackle. While Clark is a solid pick for Dom Capers' defense at No. 27, adding the speed of Jack likely would've had more impact.

Seattle Seahawks: It almost seemed too fitting that Jack would end up with Seattle, joining Bobby Wagner and K.J. Wright to wreak havoc on opposing offenses. The Seahawks opted to address their creaky offensive line with the 31st pick, though, taking Texas A&M's Germain Ifedi.

Where's he going?

Dallas Cowboys: Jerry Jones loves shiny new toys, and with the third pick in Friday's second round, Jack could find himself in Dallas. Adding Jack to a unit with Sean Lee, Rolando McClain, and Anthony Hitchens would give the Cowboys one of the best linebacker cores in the league.

San Diego Chargers: If Dallas doesn't take Jack with the 34th pick, expect San Diego to at 35. Placing him beside Denzel Perryman would give the Chargers a terrifyingly fast duo in rush defense. Adding his coverage skills on passing downs would be a major boost to the Chargers' defense.

Baltimore Ravens: A franchise famous for great linebacker play could get its next star with the 36th overall pick. Jack would seemlessly fit with Baltimore, filling the 3-4 inside linebacker spot next to C.J. Mosley, and provide a drastic upgrade in pass coverage.
