Capitals' Wilson avoids penalty after questionable knee-on-knee
Marina Molnar/Vine
Tom Wilson is a notoriously rambunctious player, but the Washington Capitals enforcer may have crossed the line with this hit on Pittsburgh Penguins forward Conor Sheary.
Wilson took a direct line at Sheary, and the knee-on-knee contact was missed by the referees, resulting in a missed penalty call.
Sheary was shaken up on the Penguins bench after the collision, but remained in the game.
A call from the Department of Player Safety is likely in Wilson's future.
