Fuchs 'can't grasp' the idea that Leicester is on verge of title

Like many of those in the King Power Stadium, Christian Fuchs is still struggling to believe that Leicester City is nearing a Premier League title.

The Foxes narrowly avoided relegation last season, with many predicting the drop for them this term, particularly after the appointment of Claudio Ranieri as manager, who had last overseen Greece in a miserable spell.

Incredibly, 5,000-1 outsider Leicester is now just three points from the English summit with three matches remaining.

"Actually, I can't really grasp it that we have the chance to win the title," the left-back told Der Westen, according to ESPN FC. "But we still need that one win.

"Our chances now are very good. We have a seven-point lead on Tottenham. It's entirely down to us."

Fuchs has been central to Leicester's incredible work ethic and discipline in defence since moving from FC Schalke 04 on a free transfer last summer.

"We will try and keep a clean sheet also in the last three games. That's been the name of the game throughout the season. We usually score at least once."

Leicester visits Manchester United on May 1 before concluding its season with matches against Everton and reigning Premier League champion Chelsea.
