Report: Giants won't draft Myles Jack if available at No. 10
The New York Giants will not draft UCLA linebacker Myles Jack if he's available with the 10th overall pick Thursday, multiple sources told NJ.com's Jordan Raanan.
Jack tore his meniscus in a September practice, and while he's arguably the best player in the draft, there is real worry about the long-term health of his knee.
"If the injury is so significant ... It's like school. F is bad and A is good. Anything in between ... If it's a C, there's some risk," Giants general manager Jerry Reese said last week about players with medical concerns. "If there's a D, there is a lot of risk, and if it's an F, we're not going to take them. It's hard for us to take a D. We rarely take a D."
With a real need at inside linebacker, Jack would constitute a perfect fit in an ideal world. However, there's likely be several players available that can fill any number of voids the Giants currently hold.
