Colorado's MacIntyre believes Webb will honor commitment to transfer

Former Texas Tech quarterback Davis Webb may be wavering on his commitment to Colorado, but head coach Mike MacIntyre believes he will ultimately be a Buffalo.

"I talk to Davis Webb basically every day," MacIntyre told ESPN's Kevin Gemmell. "Almost every night. He's told me every time he's definitely coming to Colorado. I don't have any other reason to think why he wouldn't."

That's the message MacIntyre has been getting from Webb, but the pivot has also reportedly visited Cal and Auburn. Webb has already inked a financial agreement with Colorado, yet by rule, other programs can still pursue the graduate transfer.

"I just don't like the rule," MacIntyre said. "He signed with us. He signed a financial aid agreement. And then everybody else can still recruit him ... and try to manipulate him, which I do not agree with. I think that's wrong. But that's the way the rule is. But I believe he'll still be here at Colorado."

It would be a huge boost to the Buffaloes if they could secure Webb and his 46 career passing touchdowns. Sefo Liufau was average at best last season and is coming off a foot injury, so bringing in Webb would at least give Colorado some insurance if not an upgrade at the position.
