NBA Daily Fantasy Dose: Stick by Streaky Shooters Like J.J. Redick

Here's a look at the NBA daily fantasy picture ahead of Monday's three-game playoff slate:

Bargain Plays

  • SF Justin Anderson, Mavericks (at Thunder): With Mavericks PG Deron Williams sidelined with a hernia injury and replacement PG J.J. Barea hobbled by a groin injury of his own, the Mavericks need to get creative with their rotation. Anderson will see more time at shooting guard as he goes for a third consecutive game with double-digit points.
  • C Cole Aldrich, Clippers (at Trail Blazers): Despite topping out at 15 minutes over his three playoff games, Aldrich has returned excellent value. He has yet to top 10 points in a game, but he recorded 15 rebounds in his past two outings, and he'll mix blocks and steals.
  • SG Courtney Lee, Hornets (vs. Heat): Lee's value rises without SG/SF Nicolas Batum in the Hornets' lineup. Lee has played 42 minutes in each of the past two games. While he doesn't produce as much as expected with that workload, he returns adequate value as a result of the volume.

Contrarian Options

  • PF Blake Griffin, Clippers (at Trail Blazers): Griffin has been largely unimpressive since his return to the Clippers' lineup. He has recorded just two double-doubles, while failing to top 20 points. He did attempt 16 field goals in his most recent game - the second most since his return. Keep rolling him out despite a position-leading price tag.
  • SG J.J. Redick, Clippers (at Trail Blazers): Redick is coming off one of his worst shooting performances of the season, as he went 2-for-10 from the field in a Game 3 loss to the Trail Blazers. He finished with just five points, two rebounds and one assist. His slumps don't usually last multiple games, so DFS owners can expect a return to form.
  • SF Joe Johnson, Heat (at Hornets): Johnson has been held to a total of just 26 points through his first three playoff games. He hasn't been doing much else, either, as he has just 10 rebounds and eight assists. He has gone 6-for-16 from the field and 1-for-6 from 3-point range over his past two games. He certainly won't stop shooting.
