Boston Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas left Tuesday's Game 5 against the Atlanta Hawks in the fourth quarter with a mild left ankle sprain.

Thomas turned the ankle on an awkward landing after a made layup, at a point in the game when he arguably should've been on the bench. The basket cut the Hawks' lead from 31 to 29.

Thomas told reporters following Tuesday's disappointing defeat that he'll be good to go for Game 6 on Thursday.

"I'm great," he said. "Ready for Game 6. I'm playing no matter what. I'm not going to sit out."

Like most every Celtic, Thomas struggled badly in Game 5, scoring just seven points on 3-of-12 shooting and posting a minus-33 rating in 29 minutes.

Before Tuesday, though, he'd been Boston's best player in the postseason, averaging 28.3 points and scoring a combined 70 points in the Celtics' two series-tying home wins.
