The San Diego Chargers revealed the first look at projections of their proposed future stadium on Thursday, and followed up with a pep rally on Saturday.

Among those in attendance were Chargers legend LaDainian Tomlinson, head coach Mike McCoy, cornerback Jason Verrett, quarterback Philip Rivers, and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, who had some good news for Chargers fans.

"I said it. I mean it. The Chargers belong in San Diego," Goodell told Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune.

He also said that if a stadium is built, there's the possibility of the Super Bowl returning to San Diego. The big game was last hosted in San Diego in 2003, and once before that in 1998.

If the Chargers can not secure a new stadium this year, the door remains open for them to join the Rams in Los Angeles in 2017.
