Isaiah Thomas had himself a game for the Boston Celtics in Game 3 of their first-round series against the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night, but he also may be hearing from the NBA office over a swipe he took at the head of Atlanta guard Dennis Schroder.

Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer expects him to.

"My thoughts are the league will review it," Budenholzer said after the Celtics' 111-103 win, in which Thomas scored 42 points. "The league does a thorough job on all things like this. They have high standards. All teams are aware of their emphasis during the playoffs."

Thomas appeared to wait until Schroder came near him to swing his arm in the German player's direction.

"I'm not going to let nobody slap me in my face," Schroder told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Chris Vivlamore. "I told (Thomas) that. If you want to play like that, we'll play like that. I was mad."

The two tangled shortly after and technical fouls were called on both. For his part, Thomas said he didn't mean it.

Game 4 goes Sunday with the Hawks holding a 2-1 lead.
