Houston CEO claims Barkley's Rockets career was 'fake hustle'

Charles Barkley's botched prediction landed him in some hot water with those in the Houston Rockets organization.

The former player turned TNT analyst stated at halftime of Thursday's game that the Rockets were going to blow their seven-point lead over the Golden State Warriors in Game 3 and lose.

"Ain't nothing worse than fake hustle," Barkley said. "I guarantee you the Rockets are going to lose this game."

Houston, however, would hold on for the 97-96 victory, and Rockets CEO Tad Brown took to Twitter to rip into the Hall of Famer.

Barkley spent the final four years of his career with the Rockets, averaging 16.5 points while injuries limited him to just 183 games.
