Schilling rips critics after anti-trans Facebook post

Curt Schilling described his critics as "dying to be offended" after he came under fire for sharing an anti-transgender Facebook post.

The ESPN broadcaster, who rarely posts on his blog, did just that Tuesday in a lengthy piece titled "The hunt to be offended ..."

In it, he outlines that he didn't post the "ugly-looking picture," but instead commented "about the basic functionality of men's and women's restrooms."

ESPN has yet to comment on the former All-Star's latest saga.

Over the course of the post, Schilling makes two things clear: He's extremely upset with the amount of attention the post attracted, and he has quite the definition of "opinions."

"I do NOT care what color you are, what race, what sex, who you sleep with, what you wear. I don't care and I never have," he said. "I have opinions, but they’re just that, opinions.

"And opinions are like buttholes, everyone has one and they usually stink."

It's not a good look for Schilling, or ESPN, especially considering he's roughly a month removed from saying Hillary Clinton "should be buried under a jail."

In August, he was handed a company-issued suspension after a controversial tweet that vaguely compared Muslims to Nazis. In the days following his ban, Schilling was removed from his Little League World Series assignment, as well as the "Sunday Night Baseball" broadcast.
