Report: Browns actively shopping No. 2 pick
With the draft a little more than a week away, the Cleveland Browns are reportedly trying to be the next team to swing a blockbuster deal to move down.
NFL Network's Jeff Darlington describes the Browns as "actively shopping" the draft's second overall pick, according to colleague Ian Rapoport.
"There is interest in the pick," a Browns source told ESPN's Adam Schefter, but a trade remains "uncertain."
If the Browns ultimately trade back, it would seemingly confirm the rumors that they don't view quarterbacks Jared Goff and Carson Wentz as deserving of being top-two draft picks.
The Browns are believed to be split on Goff and Wentz, with head coach Hue Jackson perhaps preferring Goff.
With the Los Angeles Rams trading up to No. 1 and presumably in position to draft Goff, a trade down for the Browns would make sense.
The question is which team would trade up. Many rumors peg the Philadelphia Eagles as most likely to make the jump from No. 8, as head coach Doug Pederson is said to be enamored with Wentz.
