Oregon's Dillon Brooks enters NBA draft without agent

Robert Hanashiro USA TODAY Sports

Oregon forward Dillon Brooks will declare for the 2016 NBA Draft, but will hold off on hiring an agent.

"I love Oregon and everything the program has done for me," Brooks told Jeff Goodman of ESPN. "I feel it's the right move to test the waters and declare for the draft without an agent. I'm going to go through the process and see where I'm at."

It was reported Thursday afternoon that Brooks would be entering the draft without an agent, but head coach Dana Altman later said his leading scorer hadn't decided on the draft yet.

As it turns out, Brooks will, indeed, test the draft's waters without diving in. By not hiring an agent, the sophomore is able to withdraw from the draft by May 25.

The 6-foot-6 Canadian averaged 16.7 points and 5.4 rebounds per game for the Ducks this season. He's projected to be a second-round pick if he stays in the draft.
