Siena gives Jimmy Patsos 2-year extension

Mary Langenfeld / USA TODAY Sports

Jimmy Patsos signed a two-year extension with Siena on Thursday that will keep the Saints' head coach under contract through the 2020-21 season.

Patsos is coming off his third season at Siena, following a nine-year stint with Loyola Maryland.

Under his guidance, the Saints have played to a record of 52-51 in three seasons, including a 21-13 clip this year. Siena captured the CBI championship in Patsos' first campaign at the helm.

There were whispers that Patsos was a possible candidate to fill the Texas Tech opening after Tubby Smith left the Red Raiders for Memphis.
