Colorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story has been getting all of the spotlight, and teammate Nolan Arenado wanted some of it Wednesday night.

The 24-year-old third baseman set a career high for RBIs in one game with seven, including two home runs, as he fell a triple shy of the cycle.

While the newly raised fence at Coors Field robbed Story of two home runs, Arenado had no problem with the change as he hammered two long balls for his third and fourth of the season.

Arenado had hit a bit of a rough patch to begin 2016, going 3-for-19 through the first five games of the season, and was glad to have such a good night.

"It's never fun to scuffle or not produce for your team," he told reporters postgame. "But I was working hard - keep hitting, keep working on what I've got to do to get better. Obviously, today was a great day. I'm very thankful for that.

"I had some opportunities with guys on base, thanks to Story, 'CarGo,' and Charlie (Blackmon). They all had quality at-bats."

Arenado's RBIs fell one shy of the club's record of eight, which is shared by former Rockies Andres Galarraga, Larry Walker, Ronnie Belliard, and Matt Holliday.
