Dodgers legends pose for selfie to honor Scully

Los Angeles Dodgers / Twitter

The Los Angeles Dodgers are sending Vin Scully off in perfect fashion.

Ahead of working his 67th and final home opener, the Dodgers held a ceremony to honor the beloved broadcaster, and welcomed back many former players whose games he's called.

The ceremony was emceed by another legendary broadcaster in Al Michaels, and included stars across all eras, from Don Newcombe - who started Scully's first broadcast for the then-Brooklyn Dodgers - to current ace Clayton Kershaw. After the line of legends handed Scully a baseball they'd all signed, the group posed for an all-time baseball selfie thanks to former pitcher Orel Hershiser.

Ever the professional, the 88-year-old Scully made it back from the ceremony in time to call Los Angeles' home opener without missing much action in the first inning.
