Washington State's Leach tells SEC coaches to 'quit being such babies'

For the second time in the span of a few days, Washington State head coach Mike Leach is voicing his frustration with the NCAA's ban on satellite camps.

After immense pressure from SEC coaches, who complained about programs like Michigan taking advantage of satellite camps for recruiting purposes, the NCAA announced a ban on such activities Friday.

"A bunch of people need to worry about what they're doing and not what (Michigan coach) Jim Harbaugh's doing," Leach said Monday on SiriusXM College Sports Nation.

Unlike the Big Ten, the SEC already prohibited satellite camps, leaving many of its coaches bitter about schools in other conferences - namely Michigan - using the camps to unofficially scout and attract high-school talent.

But Leach says southeast schools have enough talent in their own backyards to be concerned with the less stocked regions of the country.

"They don't need satellite camps (in the SEC)," he said. "But for those in the SEC who don't like satellite camps, quit being such babies."
