Kevin Trapp faces a race to regain fitness ahead of Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League encounter with Manchester City after a violent collision with teammate Layvin Kurzawa forced him to leave Sunday's game.

While he did not reveal the exact nature of Trapp's injury, manager Laurent Blanc told reporters that the goalkeeper's availability for Tuesday's match could be determined Sunday.

The incident occurred as Kurzawa attempt to shield a EA Guingamp player from collecting the ball in the box before he tumbled over, with his momentum putting him on a collision course with Trapp.

Trapp, who was replace by Salvatore Sirigu at halftime, will likely undergo tests with PSG's medical staff to determine the severity of his injury.

Footage of the collision suggests Trapp may have suffered a knee injury when Kurzawa's head collided with his leg, but trainers were seen examining his head and neck area.

Meanwhile, Kurzawa took to social media to confirm he suffered a broken nose during the incident. However, he remained in the match, and could be available for the Champions League clash in Manchester.
