Report: T-Wolves interested in Van Gundy, Thibodeau, Brooks for head coach
The search for a permanent head coach to lead the up-and-coming Minnesota Timberwolves is on.
With interim head coach Sam Mitchell being kept as part of the candidate process, the Timberwolves are reportedly interested in Jeff Van Gundy, Tom Thibodeau, and Scott Brooks, sources told The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski.
All three coaching candidates carry strong resumes. Brooks molded a young Oklahoma City Thunder team into a championship contender, Van Gundy led the New York Knicks to The Finals in 1999 and captained a strong Houston Rockets team in the mid-2000s, while Thibodeau oversaw the development of the Chicago Bulls.

With soon-to-be two Rookie of the Year winners on the roster (Karl-Anthony Towns is a lock to win this year after Andrew Wiggins took home the award in 2015), along with a host of other talented prospects, the foundation is in place for a bright future.
