A former employee for the Cleveland Browns was indicted by a grand jury for embezzling over $80,000 from the team, according to P.J. Ziegler of FOX8 Cleveland.

Justin Smith worked in the club's ticket office for eight months before being fired in January. Smith pleaded not guilty to stealing from the Browns but is facing a fourth-degree felony for grand theft.

The 26-year-old allegedly conducted refunds from one personal seat license account to another, then transferred the money towards his own credit cards.

Smith's attorney Mark Merein, told reporters that his client would repay the money promptly.

Bond is set at $2,500.
