UCLA lost a prized recruit from its 2017 class on Wednesday, as four-star linebacker Jaquan Henderson decommitted from the Bruins.

"I would love to thanks the whole UCLA staff and the Bruin fans and all the people that supported my decision to commit in September, but at this moment I believe it's best for me and my family to open up my options and decommit from UCLA," the Georgia native said via Twitter. "With that being said I still think highly of UCLA and once again thank the staff for everything."

Henderson is ranked as the 15th-best outside linebacker in the country, and the 252nd overall prospect in the ESPN 300 for 2017. He currently holds offers from Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, UNLV, West Virginia, and Western Kentucky. With a solid senior campaign at Newton High School in Covington, Ga., that list will likely grow in time for National Signing Day in 2017.
