Report: USC's Caleb Wilson transferring to Old Dominion

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

USC freshman tight end Caleb Wilson is transferring to Old Dominion, according to Scott Wolf of the Los Angeles Daily News.

Wilson's father, Chris Wilson, served as USC's defensive line coach for two years before he was fired by new head coach Clay Helton at the end of last season. Chris has since landed a job at Missouri.

As for Caleb, he played quarterback in high school, but committed to USC as a tight end. It's unclear if he's hoping to play pivot again for his new team, or plans to stick with pass-catching.

Either way, he'll need to sit out the 2016 season before he's eligible to suit up for the Monarchs.

Caleb did not dent the stat sheet in his first and only season with the Trojans.
