After the Fighting Irish grabbed the lead with 30 seconds left, Hogan marched Stanford into field goal range. On the last play of the game, Ukropina hit a 45-yard field goal to win the game.

Stanford head to Santa Clara to face USC in the Pac-12 Championship Game, while Notre Dame will wait to see which bowl game they are awarded.
