Patrick Peterson to donate $1 million to LSU

After four years of playing and making a living on Sundays, Arizona Cardinal cornerback Patrick Peterson will donate $1 million to the program he used to play with on Saturdays, LSU.
Peterson pledged to donate $500,000 in cash as well as another $500,000 in planned giving. The gift will be used to upgrade the Football Operations Center and rename the weight room "The Peterson-Roberts Weight Room."
The NFL's fifth overall pick in 2011, Peterson won the Bednarik and Thorpe awards in 2010.
The former Tiger will be recognized during halftime when LSU faces McNeese State on Saturday night.
