Utah State dismisses JoJo Natson for violating team rules

JoJo Natson's an Aggie no more.

Utah State announced the dismissal of the wide receiver late Sunday night, for violating team rules.

Head coach Matt Wells said:

We are extremely disappointed anytime we have to make a decision regarding the future of one of our student-athletes. We will continue to support JoJo as he moves forward in his career.

The Aggies' offense and special teams will miss Natson's production. He made 54 catches for 504 yards last year, and caught two touchdowns. He also added 498 yards on the ground on 50 attempts, and three touchdowns.

The undersized playmaker - he's listed as 5-foot-7 and 151 pounds - returned 25 punts for 292 yards in 2014, and had two touchdowns of 52 and 80 yards, the latter the ninth-longest in Utah State history.

There's more, and it's not good, if you're an Aggies supporter:

Natson, who earned honorable mention all-Mountain West honors as a punter returner during his sophomore season, was the only FBS player in the nation during both the 2013 and 2014 seasons to record multiple touchdowns rushing, receiving and returning as he had three rushing touchdowns, two receiving touchdowns and two punt return touchdowns as both a sophomore and junior.
