Utah State athletes in stable condition after car accident

Robert Deutsch / USA TODAY Sports

The five Utah State athletes injured in Friday's car accident are in stable condition.

Hospital officials said redshirt freshman defensive lineman Adewale Adeoye, redshirt junior lineman Edmund Faimalo, senior defensive linemen John Taylor and Travis Seefeldt, and former Aggies softball player Sarah Vasquez are improving, though none have been released from hospitals, according to the school's statement.

Coach Matt Wells took to Twitter to address the injured players' condition:

According to Utah Highway Patrol, a tractor-trailer T-boned the SUV carrying the five athletes. They were not wearing seatbelts at the time.
