Missouri's Marcus Loud dismissed from program for violating team rules

Troy Taormina-US PRESSWIRE / Reuters

Marcus Loud won't be a Tiger this fall.

The pass rusher was dismissed from Missouri's program Wednesday for an unspecified violation of team rules, according to Dave Matter of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Loud managed just one sack and 14 tackles last season in a backup role behind Markus Golden. With Golden off to the NFL, Loud was expected to take over as starting defensive end in 2015.

The Tigers have done an excellent job of producing successful pass rushers in recent years, but the loss of Loud will force them to go in another direction this season.
