The sophomore, who rushed for 2,468 yards in two seasons at UAB, will be eligible to play for the Hoosiers immediately.

Howard had an amazing 2014 campaign, tying a school record by rushing for 13 touchdowns and setting a school record with 1,587 rushing yards. He helped lead UAB to a 6-6 season.

UAB president Ray Watts announced on Dec. 2 that the school was disbanding its football program.
