Georgia's Kolton Houston's files application to NCAA for extra year

Georgia right tackle Kolton Houston is partaking in his school's Senior Day activities this weekend, and he hopes it's not for the last time.

The senior has officially sent in his application to the NCAA for a sixth season of eligibility, The Macon Telegraph's Seth Emerson reports.

"You never know with those guys," Houston said of the NCAA. "I'm confident that I like my possibilities. But no promises with those guys. Hopefully they'll work with me, and I'll be able to come back."

Houston was granted reinstatement by the NCAA in August of 2013, following three years under suspension for an anabolic steroid he was given following shoulder surgery.

The NCAA cleared the past two seasons after Houston finally passed the drug test before last year, his fourth at Georgia.
