John Reed / Reuters

Week 5 of the college football season featured its marquee matchup Thursday, which means a rather ordinary slate of games Saturday, but the money will be just as green for bettors that fall on the right side of the ledger.

With little time remaining before the noon kickoffs, here are some last minute game-day notes worth knowing.

Notable Line Movements

Syracuse Orange (+9) vs. 8 Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Team Opening Line Current Line Action
Notre Dame -11.5 -9 76%
Syracuse +11.5 +9 24%

This line opened as high as 14 in some spots, and while the Irish continue to take in buckets of public money, the sharps have spoken, bringing the spread through a pair of key numbers.

Michigan Wolverines (-13.5) vs. Minnesota Golden Gophers

Team Opening Line Current Line Action
Minnesota +8 +13.5 60%
Michigan -8 -13.5 40%

The Wolverines continue to let bettors down week in and week out, but the old semblance that a team is "due" continues to haunt bettors, who have pushed this number up near two touchdowns.

UMass Minutemen (+5) vs. Bowling Green Falcons

Team Opening Line Current Line Action
Bowling Green -10.5 -5 66%
UMass +10.5 +5 34%

This line took a big hit early in the week as it dropped by as many as six points in some spots by Tuesday. Some money's since poured in on Bowling Green to bring the number back up to an even five points.
