University of Kansas athletic director Sheahon Zenger took time to respond to an angry fan's email, titled "FIRE WEIS," after a blowout loss at Duke.

Kansas alum Scott Paradise penned a disgruntled email to the school's athletic department on Saturday, venting his frustration with head coach Charlie Weis, The Kansas City Star reports

Tuesday afternoon, Paradise received a response from Zenger.

We appreciate your input and hope you will continue to support the Kansas Jayhawks. Please know that we are fully aware of your frustration and we are watching this situation closely. Our team values your support; we hope you will stick with us through this challenging time. Thank you and Rock Chalk.

Kansas has had a difficult time finding its footing in the Big 12 Conference, consistently ranking last since 2011. However, Weis knows he must restore fan faith in the Jayhawks during the non-conference finale against Central Michigan on Saturday.

“I think this kind of sets the table,” Weis said of the Central Michigan game during his weekly press conference. “Either sets the table well or it sets the table where you’re really, really fighting an uphill battle.”
