Utah State head coach Matt Wells said Monday that while Chuckie Keeton's knee injury wasn't severe, the Aggies are going to be cautious with their quarterback.

Keeton was injured during Saturday's game against Wake Forest.

"Chuckie is fine from a health standpoint," Wells said, via Yahoo Sports. "The ACL is intact, everything is good, it's just banged up. We're going to sit him out this week and next week, then reevaluate and see where he's at during the BYU week."

Keeton missed most of last season after suffering a torn ACL. Since this injury is to the same knee, it makes sense to not rush him back into the lineup. The senior has completed 55.4 percent of his passes for 426 yards with two touchdowns and four interceptions this season so far.

With Utah State on the bye following this Saturday's meeting with Arkansas State, the Aggies are hopeful Keeton can return after missing just one game.

Sophomore quarterback Darell Garretson replaced Keeton following the injury and will start for the Aggies against the Red Wolves. Garretson also replaced Keeton last season and passed for 1,446 yards with 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
