High school prospect A.J. Alexander commits to Ohio State

USATSI

The Buckeyes have locked down Lake Braddock high school prospect A.J. Alexander, as the receiver publicly committed to Ohio State over Wisconsin.

“Just like Wisconsin, Ohio State provided a great opportunity on and off the field,” Alexander said. “I just like the coaching staff at Ohio State and the challenge the opportunity there presents. They bring in a lot of good recruits every year so it will be a challenge to get on the field and that’s what I want.”

Alexander, towering at 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds, is the 16th senior to commit to Ohio State. A standout wide receiver at the high school level, he's expected to make the switch to H-Back when he joins the Buckeyes next season.

Recruited as a defensive back by some schools, if he doesn't pan out on offense, SB Nation reports that with his skills, he'll be able to play either safety or linebacker, and should be able to help out on special teams.
