PHOTOS: Nevada's Brock Hekking has an awesome mullet

Ron Chenoy-US PRESSWIRE

Nevada's first-team All-Mountain West defensive end Brock Hekking is being called the "raddest guy" in college football thanks to his 1980s-inspired mullet.

The golden blonde hair cut is not unlike the famous cut that former Oklahoma standout and Seattle Seahawks linebacker Brian Bosworth rocked two decades ago.

The senior Hekking recorded 11 tackles over the first two games of the season. He registered eight sacks in both his sophomore and junior campaigns.

However, it seems his epic hair is more a concern of sports media than his on-field performance.

Let's not give the hair all the credit though; after all, Hekking was in the spotlight last week against Washington State for all the right reasons.

With 3:42 left in the game, Washington State lined up on a 4th down play, needing three yards. Hekking made the clutch tackle and SportsCenter managed to catch the moment (along with the mullett) in this photo:

And just for good measure, we'll throw in a few more shots of Hekking living life to the fullest:
