Louisiana-Lafayette has suspended 13 players after they were arrested and charged with conspiring to commit felony theft, according to KATC3.

The charges stem from an incident earlier in the month. Officially, the players were suspended for an unspecified violation of team rules. The program said in a news release it won't discuss the incident that led to the players' suspensions, instead allowing the judicial process to play out.

Suspended Ragin' Cajuns:

  • Matthew Barnes, TE
  • Joe Dillon, DE
  • Robert Hunt, OG
  • Denarius Howard, DB
  • Jarvis Jeffries, DE
  • LaDarrius Kidd, DT

  • Damar'ren Mitchell, DB
  • Trey Ragas, RB
  • Simeon Thomas, DB
  • Levarious Varnado, DB
  • D'Aquin Withrow, OT
